Our property consultancy business, Capita Symonds, is one of the UK’s largest multifaceted consultancies and has provided services in Scotland for over 15 years.
We deliver design, infrastructure, real estate and outsourcing solutions on a local, national and international scale, but also have a multidisciplinary team based in Scotland, delivering a huge range of projects
In 2010 Capita Symonds also acquired UK commercial property experts NB Real Estate, enabling us to provide a unique full service proposition across the real estate lifecycle, including front end advisory and acquisition, ,property and estates management, and development and design.

As a result we have delivered a number of award winning projects in Scotland including:
- Glasgow Museum of Transport – project management, construction, design and management consultancy (CDMC) and quantity surveying services on the £74m Zaha Hadid-designed Riverside Museum scheme.
- Robert Burns Birthplace Museum – project management of the new £21m Robert Burns Birthplace Museum at Alloway, in Ayrshire.
- Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh – project, cost management and CDMD services on the refurbishment of the prestigious Rocco Forte Hotel.
- Heriot Watt University – project management and full design team services for two 250 bedroom residences at the Edinburgh and Scottish Borders campuses.
- Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum – project, cost and construction management on a £35m programme to restore and expand the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow. The A-listed building is the most popular ‘free to enter visitor’ attraction in Scotland and is the most visited museum in the UK outside of London.
- esure – advisory services to esure on the lease re-gear and subsequent £28.24m investment sale of the Equinox building in Glasgow city centre. The seven storey building comprises 68,000sqft of Grade A office space.
- ASDA stores – project management and employers’ agent services on new stores and major extensions across Scotland.
- Health Facilities Scotland – appointed by NHS Scotland’s Health Facilities Scotland as survey partners for Phase 2 of the implementation of an estates asset management system for the NHS estate in Scotland.
