Our strong growth has continued in this sector achieved through a combination of contract wins and acquisitions. We now work with over 70% of NHS organisations, 148 of the 168 acute trusts in England and have clients in every health economy in the UK and Ireland.

We deliver outsourced IT and back office services for key Department of Health contracts and provide specialist advice and analytical support to NHS organisations and pharmaceutical companies to improve efficiency, governance and patient and staff experience.

According to CIPD*, workers took on average 7.5 days off sick in 2010 costing employers more than £16bn. The cost of absence through sickness in the public sector is £889 per employee compared to £400 per employee in the private sector. Organisations are increasingly looking to address this by making changes in order to improve their employees’ health and wellbeing, reduce work-related stress and increase efficiency. Drivers for outsourcing

• The requirement for NHS organisations to find £15bn to £20bn of savings in the next three to four years
