Capita IT Services today announces it has secured a contract with Newham College to provide a complete ICT transformation service. The contract, worth £4.4m over five years, will enable the college to update its ICT provision, virtualise its administration and consequently transform its education services.
Newham College will receive a fully managed, customised ICT support service, including 3,000 desktops and laptops, server management, cabling and networks. The contract will deliver an ICT governance framework that supports the strategic aims of the college - to make ICT an integrated part of the educational experience - and provides an ICT network that is faster, reliable and more secure. This will allow for smoother running ICT systems which will enable teachers to focus on their core activity which is to support students in reaching their full academic potential.
